Do you have parking at Smiles in Tandem?

ree

Finding a parking space before your dental appointment shouldn’t be stressful. Often parking is the last thing on your mind when you're thinking about which dental practice to choose but it's one of those little things that can just make the whole experience a little less stressful and help your visit start off as smoothly as possible. Finding a dental practice with parking in Huddersfield, that isn't just hoping you'll get a spot on a street nearby, or paying for parking in the town centre, is a challenge.

Is there parking at Smiles in Tandem?

Yes! We have space for five cars to park around the rear of the building, which is almost always enough for our patients as the team park elsewhere.

Where is the car park?

ree

The car park entrance is off Waterloo road, through the broad opening with yellow cross hatchings on the ground between xtghair and Spice House.

From Lepton (Penistone Road), as you pass Morrisons and head towards Huddersfield town centre, the entrance is on the left after the traffic lights as you approach the parade of shops.

From the town centre, it's on your right just after the bus stop and the practice.

As you drive in, you’ll see the metal gates, follow the road round to the right you’ll see our parking signs to the right of the large ash tree.

Where can I park for my dental appointment?

ree

We have five on-site parking spaces available for our patients and these are designated with signs which you’ll see along the fence to the right of the tree.

The spaces aren't exactly glamorous, but they exist and they're free for our patients to use. The road to access the back of the building is tarmacked, whilst the parking spaces themselves are not.

There’s also additional off-street parking nearby the practice at the front of the building just outside the Kirkwood hospice, or on-street parking without time or permit restrictions, close by on Round Wood Avenue or Cross Green Road.

Is the practice easily accessible from the car park?

ree

Absolutely. We have an easy-access entrance equipped with a ramp to ensure comfortable access for anyone who needs it. The door is wide enough for most accessibility needs and we have a treatment room and toilet on the ground floor.

Is the car park secure?

There's only one way in or out of the car park by foot or vehicle, which is through the main gate (aside from walking into Smiles in Tandem or the opticians next door). We also have CCTV which covers the back door and some of the car park.

Is there always a space available?

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee there's always going to be a space. Our team don't park in this car park as we keep the spaces for our patients, and it's rare that we need all five spaces for our patients at any one time (we have three treatment rooms and generally run on time so we don't have a lot of people waiting around).

From time to time, other people do park in our marked spaces when they visit other shops on the street. We try to ask people not to do this however it's not feasible to police this all day every day.

If you do have a specific need for a space close to the practice, to use our disabled access at the rear of the building for instance, please do call ahead and our team can pop a cone out to save a space for you.

We always want to make your visit as convenient as possible.  If you ever find parking tricky or have suggestions for improvement, please let us know — your feedback helps us keep things running smoothly for everyone.

We look forward to welcoming you soon and helping make your smile (and your arrival) stress-free!
